Recycling tips.

Thank you to everyone who participates in recycling and, helps Swansea exceed its targets!

10 Hot Tips... for minimising waste and maximising recycling

Reduce the number of plastic carrier bags you use whilst out Shopping - use proper bags or reuse carrier bags.
Buy recycled gifts, cards, stationary and goods.
Buy loose fruit and vegetables and pop them straight into your shopping bag at the checkout.
Use the green bags for all those extra cans and bottles.
Take cardboard and other recycling materials to your nearest Civi Amenity Site. Be a good neighbour to people with no transport and take theirs too.

If you are one of the lucky ones with a kitchen waste collection service - recycle all those orange peels and uneaten sprouts.
And for the man (or woman) who has everything buy the ultimate gift - a compost bin.
Don't forget the other things that can be recycled in Swansea

Cardboard

Can be taken to all 5 Civic Amenity Sites.

Plastic bottles:

Remember we recycle plastic bottles in our plastic bottle bank.  This is located at the end of the car park.   They can also be taken to
Clyne, Tir John or the Baling Plant Civic Amenity Sites.

Batteries

Small spent batteries can be recycled at the five Civic Amenity Sites and also at Argos, Tesco, Homebase, Currys and PC World.

For all residents receiving a kerbside collection of garden and kitchen waste please note that collections will continue fortnightly throughout the winter.

Civic Amenity Sites are open from 8.30am - 5pm everyday.

Remember that everyone in Swansea can recycle from home.

It's easy - just put your paper in one green recycling bag and cans and glass in another and place out by 7.30am on the correct day. Remember we recycle plastic bottles in our plastic bottle bank. This is located at the end of the car park.
